At KALKA + Partner, timber production is one of our core activities. We are committed to delivering high-quality timber products while prioritizing sustainable practices. Our timber is carefully selected, harvested, and processed to meet the diverse needs of our clients. We offer a range of timber species, including Pine, Eucalyptus, TEAK, Cypress, and Muvula. Our timber undergoes different drying processes, including natural drying and technical drying, to ensure optimal moisture content.
Additionally, our expertise in timber design allows us to create customized solutions tailored to our clients’ requirements. For accurate wood moisture measurement, we utilize professional wood moisture meters from GANN, a renowned company in moisture control technology. We offer these instruments for sale at competitive prices, ensuring that our clients have access to reliable tools for monitoring wood moisture levels.
Teak
About 5 years ago we started with an exclusive right of representation to introduce Teak Wood in Rwanda to make it known. We used it at first mostly for own demand and started later also to sell sawmill cut and kiln dried Teak.
In the last 2 years we can also offer Teak Oil for treatment of the timber. This can also be used for many other wood species.
Since we got the difficult situation in Congo about the import of Mahogany and Muvula, this Teak is the only remaining solution to be used as exclusive very resistant and stable timber, especially for outside use. It is also the only available hardwood in Rwanda professional sawmill cut and kiln dried.
Timber Natural Drying
Our natural drying process is a critical step in ensuring the quality and stability of our timber products. We carefully select the timber and allow it to dry naturally, taking advantage of controlled airflow and humidity. This method helps to reduce the risk of warping or cracking, ensuring that the timber retains its structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. With our expertise in natural drying, we can provide timber that is properly seasoned and ready for various construction and woodworking applications.
We sell Teak planks that have been harvested from a certified plantation, cut straight at the sawmill and dried to perfection in a kiln.
This is the best wood in terms of durability, finishing which make easy work and dimensional stability available here in Rwanda.

In the headquarter we can consult on the base of samples and photos about the best material to choose for the specific actual personal demand of timber. We can show different types of surface treatment with different appearance.
